Some of the things that make it cool:
1. It presents behaviorally realistic synthesis of social norms, emotions, & reciprocity, on the one hand, and mechanisms of risk perception/cognition, on the other.
2. It strikes a nice balance between exposition/analysis and programmatic advice.
3. It is well written & draws on lots of interesting sources.
4. The author is distributing .pdf version for free -- a gesture that provokes motive to reciprocate by producing and sharing knowledge in turn (a big theme of the book is the potential of pro-social behavior to reproduce itself by furnishing an inspiring model).
